Give Daily Meditation A Try
I am a big believer in mediation and have done it for years. It’s best when it’s done daily and I can’t think of a more important time to take about 10-30 minutes each day to meditate. It’s so important to be present. Recently I did a “sights and sounds” run and wanted to challenge you to do it too. This can help you #BePresent Be sure and use the hashtag #BlondeRunnerFitness so I can see. It’s fun! Here’s my post on Instagram so you can see all the fun things I did @TheBlondeRunner
Recently I ran across these meditation clips below on MyFitnessPal (a great app to log your food) and wanted to share them with you. They can give you some ideas as you create your own meditation routine. For me I like to find a nice quiet spot to lay down and put on nature sounds, light a candle and focus on my breathing. Sometimes I will even do it outside. I often imagine I am somewhere peaceful and calm and focus on positive thoughts and blessings. I notice a huge difference in my mindfulness the days I fit meditation in. I am so much more focused and calm. I love it! I also use visualization and mantra meditation to prepare for races. I think it really helps my mind prepare.
