About Coach
Lora Erickson
Lora Erickson aka “Blonde Runner” is an Ironman All-World triathlete and nationally ranked USA Triathlon All-American. She is an experienced certified running and triathlon coach with nearly 30 years of coaching experience. Coach Lora specializes in endurance training for running and triathlon events as well as Life Coaching. As a mother of five (one in heaven), she has many years of experience designing realistic custom individual programs that can fit into a busy everyday life to maximize healthy living. She also offers a Healthy Living Podcast.
Coach Lora started running competitively in high school and as was soon recognizes as one of Colorado’s top level High School distance runners and was heavily recruited by many colleges. She accepted an athletic scholarship to run for the University of Utah and later transferred to Utah State University where she earned the title of Big West All-Conference Runner and was the Team Captain. Since graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Health Education with duel minors in Nutrition and Chemistry Lora has fully embraces coaching as a career. Lora has also taught weight loss classes for the American Heart Association and continues to share her passion through running & triathlon training programs, life coaching and healthy lifestyle management. Running classes, and motivational public speaking and published author. Lora relishes the opportunity to coach athletes all over the world on-line. Coach Lora offers unique custom-designed programs to help meet a variety of health conditions and maintains that there is no “one-size-fits-all program” and everyone is different.
Lora is an accomplished athlete and health professional, winning many awards and honors including Ironman All-World Athlete and is a USA Triathlon All-American. She is a 2 x Ironman 70.3 World Championship Finisher.
Coach Lora Erickson is the owner of Blonde Runner Health LLC and the race director and founder of an annual charity event held on Memorial Day in honor of her daughter, Samantha: The Race for Grief offers a 10K, 5K run, 2 mile walk. When she is not guest lecturing, teaching, coaching or training for her next competition, she can be found in her garden or catching worms to go fishing with. She also enjoys karate, hiking, backpacking, cooking and shopping.
Lora loves to show her enthusiasm for health and has used her positive “can-do” approach to help hundreds of people of all ages to reach their goals.
