Coach Lora’s Pozole Soup

There is something about this time of year that just makes me want to cook. As you may know I love cooking soups in my crock pot and recently made my own version of #Pozole. It turned out great! #Mexicanporkandhominystew #kissthecook #runner #festivefun #autumn #crockpot

💥 Recipe:

Coach Lora’s Pozole Soup

4-5 cups water or use broth if you’d like
Add cooked cubed pork (about 3 pounds) that has been cooked and seasoned with salt and minced garlic.
3 bay leaves
2 teaspoons oregano
1 teaspoon of cumin
Dash of Cayenne pepper
1/2 medium white onion chopped
3/4 cup chopped celery
I can green chili’s with juice
I can hominy with juice

Combined all ingredients and cook on medium for 2-3 hours in the crockpot. It can be cooked longer on low heat for more tender meat.

Serve warm and garnish with thinly sliced cabbage, chopped cilantro, red onion, diced fresh tomatoes, avocado and lime wedges. Enjoy! 😋
