Come enjoy the camaraderie of a group run; all fitness levels are invited to participate. Routes are provided; most runs are between 3 – 8 miles and can easily be shortened or lengthened as needed. How do I join?
It’s simple, you fill out an on-line application on active.com (Click here to join). The application processing fee is non-refundable and membership is good from the application date until the end of the year (ie. Dec. 1, 2010 – Dec. 31, 2011). If you pay in July 2011 it will be good until Dec. 31 of 2011. The fees are not prorated. New membership forms will need to be filled out each year to remain active on the sponsor lists for discounts. Once an application is received, you will get an email with group “insider updates“. If you don’t get an e-mail within a week of sending your application, please call Lora at 801-608-5516.
What do I get for my money?
Free monthly clinics/mingles, sponsor discounts, group activities, and to be a part of something fun and social. We also offer challenges to group members. You also get a free subscription to the insider e-news that comes by email periodically with group news, coaching advice, nutrition tips, local runner highlights, race news etc. Lora “Blonde Runner” is happy to answer your running questions at group runs – she loves to help.
What is the yearly fee used for?
The money helps to cover the costs of promotional material, website fees, refreshments, annual race supplies and costs for the annual race events (Save Your Skin 10K in September, and Race for Infant & Pregnancy Loss in June), door prizes for socials, logo digitizing and art fees for shirts and hats, health promotion efforts, and office supplies (paper, ink for applications, posters, fliers and promotional material). It costs more than you think to run a quality group like this.
