What is the South Davis Road Runners?

The South Davis Road Runners is a volunteer driven adult running group located in the Davis County, Utah area. Triathletes and local adult community members are welcome to participate. Come enjoy the camaraderie of a group run; all fitness levels are invited to participate. Routes are provided; most runs are between 3 - 8 miles and can easily be shortened or lengthened as needed. Members enjoy sponsor discounts, socials and education clinics.

How do I join?

It’s simple, you fill out an application and send it in with your yearly membership fee.  Please make checks payable to Blonde Runner Health and send to 135 West 1900 South, Bountiful, Utah 84010. You can download a current application by clicking on the link provided from the group website at www.sdroadrunners.com. The fee is good from Dec. 1 - Dec 31 of the following year (ie.  Dec. 1, 2009 - Dec. 31, 2010). If you pay in July 2010 it will be good until Dec. 31 of 2010. The fees are not prorated. New membership forms will need to be filled out each year to remain active on the sponsor lists for discounts.  Once an application is received, you will get an email with group updates.  If you don’t get an e-mail within a week of sending your application, please call Lora at 801-299-1601.

What do I get for my money?

Free monthly clinics/mingles, sponsor discounts, group activities, and to be a part of something fun and social. We also offer challenges to group members. You also get a free subscription to the insider e-news that comes by email periodically with group news, coaching advice, nutrition tips, local runner highlights, race news etc. Lora “Blonde Runner” is happy to answer your running questions at group runs – she loves to help.  All members will also be offered all the benefits of the new Northern Utah Triathletes group.

What is the yearly fee used for?

The money helps to cover the costs of promotional material, website fees, refreshments, annual race supplies and costs for the groups signature event (Save Your Skin 10K), insurance, door prizes for socials, logo digitizing and art fees for shirts and hats, health promotion efforts, and office supplies (paper, ink for applications, posters, fliers and promotional material).

I have heard there is a Men’s Racing Team – is this true?

Who are the group sponsors/partners?

Detailed sponsor benefits will be given to all registered members through the “insider e-news“.  Many group sponsors logo links are listed on the group website at http://www.sdroadrunners.com

How can I become a partner or sponsor?

We are also looking for sponsors who can donate prizes for the mingles and challenges.  Monetary or product donates appreciated.  There are several different sponsorship levels that can provide you with optimum advertising and exposure for your business. Sponsors benefits can include: word-of-mouth advertising, media marketing material distribution for your company, 215 -300 px wide x 100 pix tall ad on blonderunner.com, partner logo link, blog spotlight write-up, company logo on race shirts, newsletter highlights, community class for your company and more. How can I support the group?

There are many other great ways to support the group; come and run with us every Saturday morning, tell a friend, pass out fliers, run in the annual race, and place posters. Dedicated committee members are appreciated.  We are also looking for sponsors who can donate challenge and mingle prizes - monetary or product donates appreciated.  

I am interested in joining the committee? What do I do?

We would love to have you contribute to the group through being part of the committee. You can indicate what area you wish to be involved with on the application. All committee members are required to be a member for at least 3 months and remain in good standing to be involved in the committee. SDRR Committee

I am a member but I am not getting the emails, what do I need to do to get them?

All members will receive an email with sponsor information and a subscription link immediate after their completed membership application and yearly fee is received. You will need to click on the link that is provided and fill out the information and opt-in to get the updates. Please make sure the email address you submit is current. Where can I get one of those cool green road runner window stickers for my vehicle?

Just ask Lora, she will get you one.

Does the group have shirts?

Yes, we do. We have long and short sleeve, drywick shirts available. You are welcome to order one on the application. They are available while supplies last. Other discounted products are available.

Where do the group runs take place and how frequently?

All group runs occur in the Davis County area. We run all year long and meet on Saturday mornings at various locations.

Does the group put on a race?

Yes, we do. We will be holding an annual Save Your Skin 10K Race to promote skin cancer awareness and prevention. We are planning our current inaugural race and it is held during the Fall on the 4th Saturday of the month. Learn more here: Save Your Skin 10K Race
