Lora aka Blonde Runner offers a wide variety of classes in the community. Below are the classes currently available. Upcoming 2010 programs & classes

Team Blonde Runner - Triathlon Women: Half (3 months) and full-season (6 months) training programs available. Have you ever wanted to do a triathlon before? Now is your chance. This training is for beginners and intermediate athletes and will focus on the sprint and olympic distance triathlons. Group training begins in mid - March. This unique training regimen combines a blend of circuit weight training with military style discipline and will help you tone, get lean, build strength and gain endurance. Call Lora at 801-299-1601 to reserve your spot. All ages welcome.  Pre-registration is required, limited spots. This is a popular class and fills quickly.  Please note:  If you are interested in setting up your own class for a group of friends call Lora at 801-299-1601.  Many classes are offered including weight loss and small group swimming.

Lose Big Challenge - Thursday January 28, 2010.  8 - 9 p.m.  Centerville City Hall.  Cost:  only $35.

Need some motivation to over-haul your lifestyle? Are you ready to get in great shape, tone up and feel great?! This class will give you the accountability you need to stay on track with your goals and earn points for extra incentive. Want to get results? It’s time to make a new commitment and take the challenge to Lose Big! Taught by a certified personal trainer and coach with over 25 years of experience.

Optimum Weight Loss Class. Starting Wednesday March 3, 2010.  10 - 11 a.m. - Davis County area.

This class will cover realistic diet strategies, nutrition, and exercises that will help lean and tone your body. Learn realistic solutions that can fit into everyday life that work and help you live the healthy lifestyle you have always wanted. This is an hour long class meeting once a week for four weeks. Couch to 5K Running class - Wednesday April 14, 2010 - 7:30 - 9 p.m. Cost $15/ participant.  Davis County, Utah area.

Get off the couch and onto your feet and complete a 5K (3.1 miles). Learn everything you need to know to run for fun, fitness, and competition. Discover the health benefits of running from certified coach and award winning distance runner Lora Erickson, also known as Blonde Runner. In-depth coverage of running including step into good shoes, proper stretching techniques, injury prevention and resistance training, training fundamentals and form, cross-training, sports nutrition - fueling up, racing strategies, and 5K training program will be covered in this lecture-style class. A six-week training program will be included. Class participant numbers will be limited. This class is a one-time 90 minute class a six week training program will be given. Intermediate Running Class - Starting Tuesday April 20 - May 11, 2010.  6 - 7 p.m. Davis County area.  Sign-up deadline (if space is still available) - Fri.  April 15.

Are you ready to take your training to the next level?  This class is for you!  All the training fundamentals that will get you running faster will be covered including; speedwork, intervals, pyramids, ladders, lactate threshold, heart rate zone training, form efficiency drills, and core training/ resistance will be covered.  Chi Running and Barefoot Running will also be covered.  This class is held once a week for four weeks. Running Form Analysis - Thursday April 15 OR Tuesday May 18, 2010 at 6 p.m.  Location:  Davis County.  Get feedback on your running form and learn efficiency techniques that will help you run easier and faster. Complete with video review, estimated VO2max, race performance projection and appropriate speedwork and drills to help you reach your running or triathlon goals. Kids Triathlon Class - Wednesday May 19, 2010.  7:30 - 8:30 p.m.  Centerville, Utah.  Cost: $10/ person

Triathlons are fun and challenging. Learn why triathlons are so great and growing in popularity in Utah. This class will cover swimming education, bike helps and running training tips. This lecture style class is fun and informative! Ages 10 and up welcome to attend. Parents or older siblings who would like to attend will need to pay the class fee. Class fee: $10 per person. Corrective Exercise Assessment -Call to schedule your individual appointment

Kids Triathlon Training Program - Starting the week of July 26th, ending Sept. 6, 2010  Sign-up deadline:  June 30, 2010 - Davis County, Utah area.

This TEAM group triathlon training is for kids who are new to triathlons or want to improve their performance.  All aspects of the triathlon will be covered:  including swimming technique, cycling, running, sports nutrition, transitions, and racing tips.  Make friends, have fun and get fit.  Two weekly workouts will be provided along with a participant t-shirt.  No Sunday workouts will be given or supported.

The group kids Triathlon TEAM training program will begin the week of July 26th ending Sept. 6, 2010. This class is a perfect father & son or mother & daughter class that teaches all the fundamentals of triathlon training and racing. Age 10 and up.  Must provide proof of passing a Level 4 swimming class.   Adults are required to be a Northern Utah Triathlete member to participate.  Call coach Lora at 801-299-1601 to reserve a spot.  Lora is a USATF certified running coach with over 25 years of experience.  Pre-registration and payment are required to reserve a spot.  Registration deadline:  June 30, 2010.  Spots are limited.  Click here to learn more about the Kids Triathlon TEAM training program.

Diabetes Lecture Schedule 2010
