Lora aka Blonde Runner offers a wide variety of classes in the community. Below are the classes currently available. Upcoming 2010 programs & classes
Team Blonde Runner - Triathlon Women & Men’s Teams: Full-season (6 months) training programs available. Have you ever wanted to do a triathlon before? Now is your chance. This training is for beginners and intermediate athletes and will focus on the sprint and Olympic distance triathlons. Membership applications for T.E.A.M. 2010 are now available. This unique training regimen combines a blend of circuit weight training with military style discipline and will help you tone, get lean, build strength and gain endurance. Please note: If you are interested in setting up your own class for a group of friends call Lora at 801-299-1601. Many classes are offered including weight loss and small group swimming.
Weight Management/ Nutrition Education Program - 8 week one-on-one custom program. Davis County, Utah. This program can be started anytime.

Couch to 5K Running class - Summer, 2010 - 7:30 - 9 p.m. Cost $15/ participant. Davis County, Utah area.
Get off the couch and onto your feet and complete a 5K (3.1 miles). Learn everything you need to know to run for fun, fitness, and competition. Discover the health benefits of running from certified coach and award winning distance runner Lora Erickson, aka “Blonde Runner.” In-depth coverage of running including step into good shoes, proper stretching techniques, injury prevention and resistance training, training fundamentals and form, cross-training, sports nutrition - fueling up, racing strategies, and 5K training program will be covered in this lecture-style class. A six-week training program will be included. Class participant numbers will be limited. This class is a one-time 90 minute class a six week training program will be given. Intermediate Running Class - TBA. p.m. Davis County area.

Are you ready to take your training to the next level? This class is for you! All the training fundamentals that will get you running faster will be covered including; speedwork, intervals, pyramids, ladders, lactate threshold, heart rate zone training, form efficiency drills, and core training/ resistance will be covered. Chi Running and Barefoot Running will also be covered. This class is held once a week for four weeks. Eat to Be Lean Class - July 20, 6 - 7 p.m. Davis County area.
Frustrated because your are exercising but not losing weight? Come learn how to eat right for body leaning to maximize muscle gain and get rid of fat tissue. Sports nutrition will also be covered.
This is lecture style one-time 45 minutes class held in the Davis County area. Pre-registration is required. Class fee is $15. Running Class - TBA (next class Aug or Sept 2010)
This one- hour clinic will cover all aspects of running including: form, proper stretching, self myofascial release techniques, effective training fundamentals for road racing (5K, 10K, triathlon, half and full marathons), racing strategies, heart rate monitor training etc… Chi and barefoot running will also be covered. This class is mostly lecture, but bring you shoes for some drills.

Running Form Analysis - Offered one time per month - call to find out when the next one is offered. Location: Davis County. Get feedback on your running form and learn efficiency techniques that will help you run easier and faster. Complete with video review, estimated VO2max, race performance projection and appropriate speedwork and drills to help you reach your running or triathlon goals. Call for pricing. Corrective Exercise Assessment -Call to schedule your individual appointment
Muscle imbalance is common, but can place enormous strain on the human body. Corrective exercise is used to relieve ailments causes by imbalances or injury. Diabetes Lecture Schedule 2010
Meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month, except December (there is a Diabetes Fair). All lectures topics are diabetes related, given by professionals in the field. For questions, please call Mesha with Lakeview Hospital at 801.299.6868.
