Nicknames for Lora

Lora has had many nicknames over the years, but the one that has stuck is “Blonde Runner” given to her by other competitors that heard about her, but didn’t know her real name. Here are some others.

- given to her by several recent clients – she thanks you Sheg & Parker!

L.A.G. (Little Ankle Girl)

-given by a then boyfriend and now husband of many years.  He is called Bob aka “Burley” aka “Bob the Builder” aka “Daddy”

Colorado Kicker

-given to her by the newspapers and first college coach

referring to her finish kick, it’s a trademark really

Quail

-given to her by a U of U track team member – she thanks you Jason.  Lora has a short fast stride resembling a quail, or so she is told.  If she only had a feather on her head, she might fool you.

Star

- given to her by a AP high school science teacher and other faculty members in Colorado

Twigs

- given to her by the All-Star softball team she played for

Vern

- a high school nickname given to her by a great group of friends in the good ol’ days.  She was often heard saying, “Know what I mean, Vern?” with an animated expression.
