  • Free Race! Heber Valley Marathon & Half
    • Marathon: 6:00 am start.
    • Half Marathon: 7:30 am start.
    • Both finish in Soldier Hollow

    • Two laps on a course entirely within Soldier Hollow – circumnavigates the Endurance Sports Summit
    • Summit goers can see racers from the Expo
    • Shares finish line with rest of race series, right down the middle of the Expo

    • The Pursuit is a competition using finish times to handicap fastest runners to create a mass finish rather than a mass start
    • Pursuit is 11:00am start

This is a home-grown event series. As it is still a fledgling event, it is a growth proposition and we know its success as a community centerpiece and annual destination event will be based on the strength of its early adopters from within the local community.

8:30am: 5K Start

9:15am: 5K course closes

9:15am: Sprint Road Runners begin exchanging with Mt Bikers

9:30am: Half Marathoners begin to cross finish

10:00am: Marathoners begin to cross finish

12:30pm: Full Relay Road Runners begin exchange with Mt Bikers

12:30 – 3:00pm: Mt Bikers finish course

1:00-4:00pm: Road Cyclists departing from Soldier Hollow

3:00-5:00pm: SUP and Swim athletes begin arriving to meet with rest of team

4:00-8:00pm: Road Cyclists returning to finish line to complete the relay

5:00-8:00pm: Team and Individual Awards and Recognition at Podium

8:00pm: Relay Course closes

9:00pm: Summit Closes

Coach Lora Erickson is an Ironman All-World athlete and certified running and triathlon coach recently competing in the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Africa in 2018. Lora was born and raised in Colorado and was to run for the University and Utah & Utah State University where she obtained a degree in Community Health Education with duel minors in Chemistry and Nutrition.
