Blonde Runner Athlete Update

Here’s the latest Blonde Runner Athlete Update:

My workout went really smooth this morning.  It was a little windy outside so I opted to cycle indoors which I have really come to enjoy.  I often watch movies, listen to music or even read (only on an easy recovery ride) on the trainer.  I find the time passes quickly and my children are often in the same room so it fun to have them near me.  I have taken phone calls and written workouts on my trainer so it’s really quite the multitasking tool.  I often run immediately after I ride and get strange looks from neighbors while I run in my sleeveless cycling jersey and shorts in freezing tempertures drenched in sweat.  That is one thing you have to get used to is the amount you sweat indoors.  I am not a really sweaty person, but indoor workouts seem to really open the pores and raise the core temperatures; so it’s important to drink while riding and have a fan on you.  If it’s really aweful weather outside you can always hop in the pool or on your trainer.  Triathlon training is the best.  Love it!  ~ Coach Lora Erickson
