The Naked Foot 5K

Salt Lake City, Utah

Sat. May 26, 2012

Race website:   http://thenakedfoot5k.com/#/salt-lake-city/

Despite what you might be thinking, this is a shoed run or not.  Ha!  Here are some things you need to know about the run.

#1:  This event is NOT a barefoot race!  They are trying to emphasize that the “run naked”/barefoot part is optional and really more of a symbolic gesture to our charity Soles4Souls- people should bring a pair of shoes to donate and running the course barefoot is optional.  Probably 30% of people actually run barefoot in the races

#2: The event is really all about getting people outside, active and having fun! There are so many events out there all about getting the fastest time, or how tough you are or the after party. This event is one of the only ones out there that the whole family can participate in- think family, fitness and fun!

#3: They have the 5k FREE to kids under 12! They are also doing discounted entries for teachers and parents.

This is a great event to get involved it.
