I HAVE A Q…. ON THIS 10K SAVE YOUR SKIN DO HAVE TO BE ABLE TO RUN 6.2 MILES OR CAN I WALK/ RUN I AM NEW TO GETTING IN SHAPE TO RUN … I KNOW I COULD WALK ALONG WAYS BUT NOT YET A RUNNER… LET ME KNOW WOULD LOVE TO BE APART OF THIS KARLENE
Karlene – Yes, you are welcome to walk/run the 10K event. Thank you for your support of skin cancer prevention.
Do I have to be present to pick up my packet for this race? I am only doing the 2 mile walk, but my husband is running the 10K. He will be able to pick up packets.
Paige – your husband is welcome to pick up your packet for the 2 mile walk (non-timed). 10K people need to pick up their timing chips in person and show ID. Thanks.
I already have my own Champion Chip, does your system support the Champion Chips?
@Val. I don’t think so – we are using stride racing so you would need to contact them.
Any idea how many people have signed up for this? This is my first 10K–I’m nervous!
For this first year event we are planning on 150 racers, so it is a small event (no need to be nervous). The route is out-and-back and flat – it is also very well marked with two aid station that you go by twice (so really 4) – so you will have plenty of support. I am so glad you will be joining us.
