I HAVE A Q…. ON THIS 10K SAVE YOUR SKIN DO HAVE TO BE ABLE TO RUN 6.2 MILES OR CAN I WALK/ RUN I AM NEW TO GETTING IN SHAPE TO RUN … I KNOW I COULD WALK ALONG WAYS BUT NOT YET A RUNNER… LET ME KNOW WOULD LOVE TO BE APART OF THIS KARLENE

  2. Karlene – Yes, you are welcome to walk/run the 10K event. Thank you for your support of skin cancer prevention.

  3. Paige says:

Do I have to be present to pick up my packet for this race? I am only doing the 2 mile walk, but my husband is running the 10K. He will be able to pick up packets.

  4. Paige – your husband is welcome to pick up your packet for the 2 mile walk (non-timed). 10K people need to pick up their timing chips in person and show ID. Thanks.

  5. Val Steed says:

I already have my own Champion Chip, does your system support the Champion Chips?

  6. @Val. I don’t think so – we are using stride racing so you would need to contact them.

  7. Becky says:

Any idea how many people have signed up for this? This is my first 10K–I’m nervous!

  8. Lora says:

For this first year event we are planning on 150 racers, so it is a small event (no need to be nervous). The route is out-and-back and flat – it is also very well marked with two aid station that you go by twice (so really 4) – so you will have plenty of support. I am so glad you will be joining us.
